The project has four major objectives
- Theoretical study, analytically and numerically, of damping in XPHD conditions under impact loading (shock), for different axi-symmetrical configurations.
- Experimental study for validation of the models mentioned at objective (1)
- Application of the results obtained at objectives (1) and (2) for the realization of XPHD shock dampers with the following potential application : sports and protection equipment, components for articular prothesis and anthropomorphic robots.
- Initiation of theoretical and experimental studies dedicated to extensions of XPHD shock dampers for other configurations that in objective (1): multilayer, cylindrical surfaces, etc.
