On behalf of The Romanian Tribology Association (ART) and World Trade Center Bucharest (WTCB) we would like to thank you for your participation to the tenth Tribology Conference ROTRIB '07.

The Romanian Tribology Association was founded in 1977, aiming to become a national forum dealing with both fundamental and applied Tribology problems. One of the main purposes of ART is the encouragement and development of the research in the promising Tribology subjects.

ART is a member of The International Tribology Council and Founding member of The Balkan Tribology Association, established in 1993. This association gathers tribologists from Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Turkey and Romania and organizes the well known Balkan Tribology Conferences, BALKANTRIB.

Every two or four years, ART organizes The National Tribology Conference ROTRIB, which became international in 1987. Galati (1978 and 2003), Hunedoara (1980), Ploiesti (1982), Iasi (1984), Bucharest (1986, 1996 and 2007), Cluj-Napoca (1990) and Sinaia (1999) are the cities hosting the previous editions of this conference.

The 10th edition of ROTRIB Conference, ROTRIB `07, was held in November 8-10, at World Trade Center Bucharest (WTCB) with the support of The National Authority for Scientific Research (ANCS).
